Renovation to the Emergency Department Expands Care for Mental Health Patients at Holland Hospital.

HOLLAND, MI – The 2,900 SF renovation of the existing Emergency Department for care and observation of Mental Health patients will result in a secure environment for patients and staff. With the completion of the Project, 6 Holding/Exam Rooms, a Search and Gown Room and a central Nurse Station were created to support the unit, provide transitional care and promote the well-being of patients. All spaces are designed to meet current Behavioral Heath Guidelines and spaces will combine to deliver exceptional care and create safer, less stressful surroundings. M&CA provided all planning, architecture and interior design services for the project.
