Surgical Optimization Renovation Complete at Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County

TWO RIVERS, WI- Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County (AMCMC) has successfully completed the final phase of its multi-stage Surgical Optimization Renovation, enhancing its surgical facilities with state-of-the-art technology and modernized spaces. This milestone marks the completion of a comprehensive effort to improve surgical efficiency and patient care at the hospital.

Key improvements include the addition of two new, advanced operating rooms and a fully updated Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), now in use by the surgical team. The new Sterile Processing Department, featuring cutting-edge surgical instrument washing and sterilizing equipment from Steris, is fully operational, ensuring enhanced infection control and instrument management.

Throughout the project, a phased approach allowed AMCMC to maintain uninterrupted surgical services while upgrading its infrastructure. With the final phase now complete, the hospital is better equipped to provide high-quality surgical care to the Manitowoc County community, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and patient-centered care.
