As one of 10 pediatric critical care centers in the state, Edward Hospital’s 16 Bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides everything from basic care to advanced life support. The unit is designed to impart the imagination of its’ patients as a positive influence by integrating key elements of design into the architecture. A bubble wall entry activated by movement, kaleidoscope-like forms in the nurse stations, exaggerated forms of the playroom and strong colors in material selections are essential to the strength and warmth of the friendly environment.
